Today I’ve been definitely told that I’ll be in the United Kingdom from July 21 to August 1 in order to take an English Language and Culture course at the University of Bath.
On the one hand I’m quite looking forward to going there. You know, to do a bit of linguistic inmersion, practise English and all those things.
And to be honest, I’ve googled a bit and it looks like the Bath area is very nice. So I hope I’ll have a great time there.
But leaving the mediterranean sea on summer is like.. I don’t feel like doing that. My sun, the beaches, my people.. Even more when I see that the average temperatures on July at Bath range from 21.7 to 11.9. Damn, cold. So I assume any slight tanning I’ll have achieved at my Carabassí beach will dissappear.
Anyway, as it is a fact I’ll be up there, I’ll try to organise a trip to my beloved London. I’m really missing a walk by the South Bank. And of course, my ritual visit to the Tate Modern. It is always oxygenating, been there.
Take care,
Hèctor
